Theme? I lost my kukasoku in the woods after eating poisoned pie at the haunted house?
That's not the theme, that's just registering a complaint. My favorite line is--I thought it was just the 40pounds of pork in my stomach.

That "theme" still keeps me from reading before I go to sleep in a feeble attempt to qualify for the second degree brown belt. I've finished two legitimately, with thanks to Gock for the advice.

I wonder how much more difficult a first degree brown would be. I find different puzzles within the book to be of quite varying difficulties.
